The other delights are plentiful. Two of the more popular activities are water sports and hiking.

Water Sports

If you like water activities, Tobago is home to much of them.

From deep sea diving to sailing, to surfing or just thrashing about near the shores, Tobago provides all sorts of water sports.

Additionally, Tobago is home to several coral reefs where some of the largest brain corals in the Caribbean can be found.

There are several reefs on the island but two are spectacular.

Buccoo Reef

The prime one is Bucco Reef.

Bucco Reef on the south western part of the island is a shallow reef. It is the most popular on the island.

Thousands of species of fishes of the most tropical radiant colors are on display.

They can be viewed from glass bottom boats or by going in the water with diving glasses.

Reef at Speyside

The second most popular reef on the island is located on the north eastern part of the island.

This reef is located off the waters of Speyside and Charlotteville. This reef is much deeper than Bucco Reef.

To enjoy this though, one needs to have some diving expertise.

Hiking

If you like hiking, Tobago is home to the oldest national forest reserve in the western hemisphere.

Additionally, as you hike the forest reserve, you are likely to encounter some of the hundreds of species of the native birds displaying their most radiant and colorful hues.

In reiteration, where to stay in Tobago is not a problem.

Early reservations, though, will get you the best deals.
