The ferry service is run by the GSS (Government Shipping Service) of Trinidad and Tobago.

The twice daily fast island ferry between the two islands makes the crossing in only 3 hrs.

One Ferry Leaves each port - Port-of-Spain in Trinidad and Scarborough in Tobago - in the morning and one leaves in the evening.

Therefore a person can take a ferry in the morning from one island to the other and do the return trip in the evening.

Daily Commute Between Trinidad and Tobago

A good example of daily commute are traffickers from Trinidad peddling their goods in Tobago daily.

Traffickers fill their vans with goods, wares and other paraphernalia and drive on to the ferry that leaves Trinidad in the morning.

They get to Tobago in time to set up their stalls in the market or small and make ship malls.

Some even sell directly out of their vehicles.

In the evening, they drive their vehicle back onto the ferry in Scarborough and head back to Trinidad.

They repeat their ritual the next day and the day after ......

Day trip excursions are usually organized to bring people from Trinidad to Tobago for all sorts of reasons.
